Almost every host quotes you year one. We publish the renewal rate next to it, plus the specs that actually differ — so you can see which $2.99 deal becomes $18 and which one stays put.

The rubric is published
Every score is a weighted average of five criteria, not a judgement call. Here are the weights:
- Performance 30%
- Support 25%
- Features 20%
- Pricing 15%
- Ease 10%
Renewal prices are shown
Most comparison sites quote the intro rate alone. Across the 16 hosts we track, the renewal price averages:
14 of 16 hosts raise the price at renewal; 2 hold it. Both figures are on every review page, with the date each was checked.
Commission changes nothing
Some links earn us a commission, disclosed at the top of every page. What it does not do:
- Buy a position — 0 paid placements, ever
- Change a score — those come from the rubric
- Remove criticism — the highest payer here carries a renewal warning
We also publish 0 reviews written by us as if they were customers'.
